Abstract 50 patients were examined with the aim to determine socio demographic and clinical and psychopathological peculiarities of resistant anxiety and phobic disorders (F40.8), including 26 patients showing signs of resistance and 24 patients showing no signs of resistance. The following clinical and psychopathological factors of resistant anxiety and phobic disorders were identifi ed: low social adaptation ability in the form of incomplete family and professional actualization; late-onset disorders; somatic burden symptoms; negative attitude towards the psychiatric treatment; a combination of complex subjective intractable psycho-traumatic factors, related mainly to the fi eld of health care along with somatization and formation of complicated clinical and psychopathological complexes (anxiety and phobic-depressive-hypochondriac) and maladaptive behavioral strategy of "avoidance".
