Abstract Formation of brain tumors is accompanied by changes in the mental state of patients in most cases. One of the reasons for late diagnosis of tumors is not only low neurooncological alertness physicians-internists doctors, psychiatrists and psychotherapists, but also insufficient knowledge about early psychopathological manifestations of brain tumors. In many cases mental trauma and the following disorders assessed by clinicians as psychoadaptive psychodisadaptive disorder that has negative impact on the timeliness of diagnosis of brain tumors. The role of acute and chronic stress factors in the formation and characteristics of clinical and psychopathological manifestations of neurotic disorders in patients with benign and malignant tumors of the brain with clinical manifestation of psychopathological option. We demonstrate the impact of different types of acute and cumulative stress on the formation of borderline mental disorders, which should be considered in the diagnosis of brain tumors, debuting mental disorders.
