Анотацiя Дані літературного огляду свідчать про те, що депресії як і раніше, займають провідне місце серед усієї патології і мають велике медико-соціальне значення. Попереднє дослідження депресивних розладів у сільських мешканців свідчать про те, що вони мають свою специфіку в усіх вікових категоріях. Незадовільне соціальний стан, фінансове неблагополуччя, рівень освіти, низький рівень (або відсутність) соціальної підтримки, специфіка сільськогосподарської праці, низька звертаємость за кваліфікованою допомогою і обмежений доступ до спеціалізованої медичної допомоги, адиктивна поведінка мають свої особливості і мають несприятливий вплив як на виникнення і перебіг захворювання, так і на суїцидальну активність. Необхідність подальшого поглибленого вивчення в Україні особливостей депресивних розладів, що виникають у жителів сільської місцевості, має рацію. Це потрібно для своєчасної діагностики депресій, надання своєчасної і якісної допомоги, запобігання суїцидів, поліпшення якості життя даної категорії населення.
