 В роботі розглянута проблема використання габапентиноїдів на сучасному етапі особам з пси- хічними та поведінковими розладами згідно з принципами доказової медицини на основі даних літератури та власного досвіду автора; визначено, що немає спільної думки серед авторів. Зроблені висновки, що використання габапентиноїдів особам з психічними та поведінковими розладами є їх застосуванням не за прямим призначенням; наголошено на потребі дотримувати баланс між потенційною користю та ризиком заподіяння шкоди та зважати на високий потенціал розви- тку залежності від габапентиноїдів у пацієнтів з різною нозологією, у зв’язку з чим призначення габапентиноїдів не рекомендовано для надання спеціалізованої допомоги хворим як монотерапії, питання ефективності комбінованої терапії залишається відкритим. Використання габапентиноїдів для надання спеціалізованої допомоги не рекомендовано як особам з залежністю від алкоголю та інших психоактивних речовин, так і з будь-яким іншим видом залежності. Визначені особли- вості застосування габапентиноїдів пацієнтам похилого віку та особам з опіоїдною залежністю.
